I made an online purchase from chicos this month and when I went to the store to return some of the items they would not allow it because I paid with PayPal. Had I used my credit card I could have returned at my local store rather than go to the trouble and expense of mailing the items back. Is this a problem with other online retailers too?
Not specifically, but you really need to check the return policies for any online purchase from an online store which also has a lot walk-in store. Some allow in-store returns; some do not. Some will refund with method of payment; some will refund as cash. Some will not refund for certain types of payments. The fine print details of the online retailer really do matter.
Totally agree, never use PayPal as funding for a purchase when you can use a credit card direct. Passing the payment through PayPal just complicate all situations.
