Hello, I am going on vacation and asked my rental car company if I could use a paypal card for deposit on the car. Answer was yes. So my question is. I have no money in my paypal account, so when I give them the card, will it put a hold on my Bank account for that amount? or, will it just be a hold, with no money withdrawn or held in my account? I read somewhere that if you have even $1 in your account then no it won't, but it is a new account and I can't add any money for 30 days. I know that normally the car comany will place a hold on your credit card or debit card for the amount of the deposit. I want to avoid this. Any info appreciated. Thank you.
if you are referring to your Paypal business debit card,and you have no money in your Paypal account and you have not linked your bank account ,it would be declined.
if you have linked your bank account ,it may not work as this card has not been working too well for months.
It is not like your credit card,it takes the money instantly,if there is any?
