I recently purchased items from a seller in England and it was in GBP not US dollars. I have done this before but the last few times it would not let me use Pay-Pal credit to purchase the items. I beleive it said the seller was not set up for this type of payment? Or Pay-Pal would not do GBP? Please advise...
Thank you

If you are sending money to pay for a purchase, you can use PayPal Credit as long as the currency selected is US dollars (USD). However, you cannot use PayPal Credit to send money to friends or family internationally.

Paypal credit is only available for purchases in your own currency.

I appreciate the answer, but it still makes no sense. If I can use Pay-Pal to pay for overseas items, why not the Pay-Pal Credit? Is it because it is from a different banking establishment? regular Pay-Pal has no problem doing the GBP payments . . .?

it may just be a Paypal policy, domestic orders only.
to avoid currency conversion,to avoid any complication if the order did not go well?

Whether it makes sense or not, that is what it states, local currencies only.

Where does it state this? I just read through the Pay Pal Credit Agreement and I can not find where it staes "Local Currencies Only" It does state this:
You can make a Standard Purchase using this Account by choosing the PayPal Credit Payment System when you make a purchase from a Merchant at a website, by telephone, or at another authorized location. We will extend credit to you, in the amount of the Cost of the Purchase, by paying the Merchant on your behalf.
It also states that the Merchant has to be participating in and authorized to accept the PayPal Credit payment option. I now beleive that this is what it said when I tried to use my Pay Pal Credit to purchase an item from England... It said the merchant was not authorized to accept Pay Pal Credit Option... Nothing about Local Currencies Usage. . . Thank you anyway though . . .

if it said merchant is not authorised, then one of the reason could be he is not a domestic seller.
Paypal credit is not always available,if it is,then it will show up as an option
use your credit card instead
