I just got a Visa gift card (debit) with 40$ on it. I wanted to buy something but when I try it says this exactly,
" Sorry, but your Visa x-<removed> was declined. Please add another debit or credit card to complete your purchase."
It is a gift card so it has no name connected to it, so that might be the problem. I also got the card from Walmart. I don't know why it won't work, if you do know the solution please let me know!
There should be a number on the back of the card you can call for assistance. You need to register both your name and address with the card issuer, PayPal rejected the card because they cannot validate who owns the card - this is a standard practice when trying to use a card through your PayPal account. Make sure that all names match - if your name is John and you register the card as Jonn - you still won't be able to use it through your PayPal account.
