CCB/PPC Hard Credit checks

I am checking my credit report on a regular basisi and in this year paypal credit has made 3 hard inquiries on my credit without my authorization

This is lowering my credit score

Please check your credit score for Hard Inquireies and make Paypal credit stop this. I lost nearly 30 points due to this action

Very wrong and nearly fraudulent 

I am thinking of closing my paypal credit imidiatly

Totally agree...It seems tht they also did a hard credit check without authorization on me on 11/1/2015..  I have never applied for any credit with paypal and certainly after this do not inted to.  Although Paypal can be convienent at times I do believe that I will be looking to cancel any accounts with them.

I just noticed this hard inquiry on my credit report monitoring service. How do I ask PayPal to stop this? I don't know why they did that since I didn't initiate anything new through them.

Why just a phone call to customer service and ask?

Hi all. Just yesterday I called PayPal direct because of six(6) of these CCB/PPC Hard Credit Checks.

They told me that they "Do Not" initiate any Hard Credit Checks.  These checks are performed by the

reporting Credit Bureaus. Mine just happened to be Equifax "only".  The other Credit Bureaus did not

report these CCB/PPC Hard Credit Checks. So I will be contacting Equifax to see what gives and go

from there (as directed by the PayPal representative). PayPal phone 417-799-7621. Luckily, only one

credit bureau reported this.

P.S. - Please "DON'T" get this mixed up with PayPPC (Collections Bureau) - Not the same as above.

if i were to cancel my account also will that resolve the 2 hard inquries that were wrongly put on my credit report because my credit score dropped pretty badly and i couldnt figure out why until i saw the CCB/PPC on my credit sccore

If there is a problem with your credit report you need to get it fixed by contacting the company which made the mistake and by contacting the credit reporting company to make sure an explanation is added to your record.

Closing an account isn't going to retroactively modify a previusly-submitted action.
