Getting Card Reader

Everywhere I've looked, it says I must CALL to get a card reader...

I  have been on hold now 1hr & 37 min to get the reader.  MEANWHILE, while on hold I have set up a new account, created a store front, added inventory & done 2 test transactions (I already had a reader) with SQUARE!!!  (and ordered another reader)

I find it unbelievable that I cant just simply order a reader on the site or thru the app - LIKE SQUARE!!!

PLEASE tell me there is an alternative option to order a reader besides trying to get thru to their obviously pooly stafffed call center!  (As a former Call Center/CS Consultantm, and cant even imagine what their Abandonment Rate and Avg. Spped of Ans is!)

After you install the app, you are prompted to order the reader, did you do that?   You can also order the reader by contacting customer support - this can be done via email, phone (1-877-569-1136) or through Twitter @AskPayPal or via Private Message on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PayPal

And you can also get your reader at the follow retail locations:

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/credit-card-reader-store-locator

For us it was quite easy, we downloaded and installed the app, ordered the reader, completed some additional security questions and received our reader in 7 business days - did not have to even speak to a human.

Yup...and never received it.  Hence the call to "support".  And in case you missed it in my post, (which prompted my post), I DID call C/S, and was posting at the point I had been on hold 1 hr & 20 mins.  Finally at 1:40 I hung up & emailed and received a response & a re-order.  I think I'll stick to PP for digital invoicing & keep using Square for my CC swipes.  Much less complicated and EXCELLENT support.
