Green Dot Money Pak Card Problems

I always use a Green Dot Money Pak card to add funds to my PayPal account. Now, I'm having trouble finding them. I've gotten several different stories, most saying that they are being discontinued due to money laundering. I do not want to give Paypal my bank information. Does anyone know anything about this? Also, if the Money Pak cards will not longer be available, how can I add funds to my PayPal account without adding my bank information?

I ran into that problem today... but the solution is pretty easy.

Just buy the GreenDot card (it won't say MoneyPak, but that's ok) and load it with cash at the register. Activate the GreenDot card online when you get home.

Here's the loophole:

YOU HAVE TO REQUEST MONEY FROM YOURSELF.

So go to the function on the PayPal site that says "request money" and send a request to your backup email address. Then open the email and follow the directions to pay yourself. You will need to be sure to use the credit/debit card option, because that's gonna be your GreenDot card info.

Anyway, it's pretty easy.

Hope I helped...

Question:  So, I go to Walgreens and load my Greendot card for $4.95, then send a fund request to my backup email address, through my Paypal account.  Once I send those funds, doesn't Paypal charge an ADDITIONAL charge to receive that "payment"?
