Will Payflow_dotNET.dll v4.3.0.0 will work on a Windows machine with only .NET 4.6 installed.

Does anyone know if Payflow_dotNET.dll v4.3.0.0 will work on a Windows machine with only .NET 4.6 installed. We continue to drag .NET 3.5 with us and supposedly only for the purpose of Payflow_dotNET.dll v4.3.0.0 but is that really necessary.
