Transferring money from US Paypal to UK bank account.

Is it possible to send money from my Paypal account in the U.S. straight to a bank account in the UK? I've tried to find a way to do it, but if it's available somewhere, I'm missing it. I spoke to my bank about doing a wire transfer and it will cost $50 each time I transer money to the UK account. I'm just hoping maybe Paypal will allow me to do this for a lower fee.  Thanks in advance for any help.

You can transfer it to another paypal account in the UK and then withdraw it as long as its in sterling.

Thanks for the reply. Is there no way to just put it straight into the bank account though? My dilemma is that I live in the U.S. now but have some phone contracts to pay off over the next year in the UK and am looking for a cheap and simple way to get the money into my UK bank account.

Focus on the best way, not the cheapest way.  Go to your local bank and ask about options for wire transfer.

Perhpas there is a way with Western Union.

whose UK Paypal account is he going to send payment to?

if it is his,and he is in USA,accessing his UK account may be a problem of security risk unless he adds UK to his travel pan but his ISP would still show he is in USA?

He could risk having both accounts restricted?

if he has friend or family in UK,western union the entire sum and ask his friend to write local checks to pay his phone bills.

Well you asked if he still had a UK account so that is why i replied probably not as i had already asked him if he knew someone with a UK paypal account.

That was because if he had a mate with a UK accout he could send it to them.

there is no  way for Paypal to forward your Sterling fund from US bank into a UK bank, foreign banks are outside this clearance network,so called ACH for automated clearing house among US banks.

Thomas Cook,a travel agency, sell foreign currency, may be you can ask them if they will do something for you, another company would be AMEX.

oR you may know some UK residents in UK who offer some service.

or go to a bank and buy intl cashier check, not sure if they can do sterling.
