Beware: People are hacking into PayPal accounts to commit credit card fraud

My American Express has recently been maxed out by someone committing fraud from my PayPal account.  It seems that someone has hacked in to my PayPal account and used my credit card to create payments to themselves via their email address.  I haven't used PayPal in over 6 months and just yesterday I had all these emails stating recent activity of payments being submitted by me to another PayPal member, then some saying that certain amounts have been refunded.  All up, over  €1000 has been charged on my credit card which Amex is looking into.

I have written to PayPal informing them of this fraud and I got an impersonal email back from them saying that I had insufficient evidence to support the Unauthorized Claims I was making.  Now, today I see that someone has deposited  €420 into my PayPal account.  All of this activity just reeks of an Internet money scam.  PayPal could take much better care of our security to ensure people do not hack into our accounts and make unlawful payments to themselves on our behalf. I have since removed both my credit cards from my PayPal account and changed my password.  I now have the hassle of claiming back the money that was unlawfully spent on my card, as well as waiting for a new card and informing my merchants of the change of card number.  PayPal has let me down, and what's the use of providing such a "secure service" if they can't even protect the genuine people using it!!????

Beware of a user going by the name of Giuseppe - he's the fraudster that stole my money - I am sure I am one of hundreds of victims.  Please spread the word so that PayPal gets the message to better look after its members.

paypal was hacked!

i am tired of paypal reps telling lies!

google paypal hacked 2013

it was even on the news!

i am a digital forensics expert, my account was hacked, there is ZERO, i mean absolutely ZERO chance my debit card number was aquired from ANY OTHER source but a paypal server! do not even bother claiming i used a machine with a skimmer or an employee at a business used a skimmer or the number was intercepted while making an online purchase.

1. i have never used the card online

2. call it a quirk of my profession but i never let anyone hold my card, period! never used it for a bar tab, etc. i have no credit cards, i pay everything with cash. period! if i do not have the money in hand then i do not need the item. the only item i have on credit is my home morgage. car paid cash, boat paid cash, credit cards do not exsists, follow yet?

3. i can spot a skimmer easier than i can my right hand, hell i get paid to prevent this type of activity

i have a whole thread on ebay forums explaining why it is impossible for my account to have been hacked on my end including answers to peoples 'flames' and legit questions.

1 more tid bit....

your paypal account does not have your full card number listed anywhere, login and check

especially the csc is not listed, but as proven via transaction history the csc is not needed

THE ONLY WAY for the number to be aquired is direct access to paypal database

prove me wrong please
