Google Chrome preventing access to PayPal

I recently switched to Google Chrome and it is preventing me from accessing PayPal. Do I need to change my settings in Google Chrome? The message I receive is saying the encryption cannot be verified and some entity may be trying to use my PayPal account fraudulently. The message also goes on to say that a WiFi connection may also cause not accessing PayPal. I disconnected my WiFi device and can now login to PayPal but there must be something I can do to utilize my WiFi and still access PayPal. Thank you for any help on this matter.

Not really sure, we also use Chrome, have WiFi and have no issues. We do a lot of web page item code testing with Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari - all latest versions, have not run into that issue. (It may be a plug-in that's not behaving well.)

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate it. Chrome has a lot of information regarding the settings and I may have to see if there is something in the settings that I need to adjust.
It could also be my WiFi connection because I don't have password protection on it. That was never an issue with Internet Explorer but Chrome seems to be much more vigilant.

I am having the same issue. I have used Chrome for years, but recently, I can't access PayPal when in Chrome. It works fine in other browsers, but I prefer Chrome. I get a privacy error:
Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.paypal.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).
www.paypal.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Chrome tried to connect to www.paypal.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. Either an attacker is trying to pretend to be www.paypal.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.
You cannot visit www.paypal.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

FIXED: I still had this same problem until I switched from my ISP's DNS servers to the Google Public DNS -- 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Not sure why my ISP DNS sucked but they did. One more feather in the notch of why I hate Time Warner Cable. Please Google Fiber. Please come to Ohio!!!

Maybe paypal should include the most popular plugins during testing. IE does not work for a lot of us.
I have turned off all of my plugins and still encounter the error. Also, trying to switch back to the old interface does not work, in the French version of the paypal site, at least. IE does not work for me, as it's very slow in loading and each page load hangs for 15-30 seconds for no apparent reason.
Making payments can now take me over 10 minutes, and I've switched to using other payment options whenever I can. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation. This bug has been there for months now, and is far from being resolved.
The french version has also more dead links:
- https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_history - Does not work.
- Disconnect button does not work.
- some links point to the now defunct (?) paypal-france.fr.
Ad block plus is quite a popular plugins, and maybe that's what's causing the bug, even when switched off for both the merchant site and paypal.
Maybe testing with wired ethernet will help in encoutering the issue. I don't recall having the same issues with my laptop.
