Just frustrating makes you feel lost , doing business on line the right way through Ebay and Paypal ,

Sold a car part ( Trunk lid for a 2006 Acura TL ) on ebay ,took a file of dated pictures of it on the bench before packing , packed it properly , then took more photos of it packed ,shipped it ,paid for the shipping , one day after the buyer received it he calls , that it is damaged , I filed an isurance claim with the transport company , they failed me because when the item was received no body made notation of any damages( if any ) on the delivery receipt that was signed by the receipeint .Considered by the transport company ( as clean delivery ) , buyer opens a case on ebay , i responded with pics and documents ,Ebay ruled in my favor and Paypal refunds money in my account , the buyer files a dispute with his CC company , Pay pal helps themselves to my account and gives the money back without even notifying , just like any corner store!!!!!!

Long hours wasted with paypal over the phones ,they said they will help me , please upload all your documents ( same as the ones i uploaded on ebay ) uploaded them ,waited for 10 days , Pay pal leaves a massage on my account that the CC company is standing behind their decision , how can any smalltime seller like my self trust doing business with Paypal , i cannot find words to describe how disappointed I am. my total loss is over $ 700 , including my Trunk , shipping i paid for it and the fees of the great Ebay & Paypal ( which infact the only thing they care about , collecting their fees before you even take a breath )

I am intending to peruse this matter every where to alert other honest sellers on line make them know what's happening out their .

I welcome your comments , they are very valuable to every one

When a buyer files a dispute directly via his credit card company then paypal have no say in the decision.

They may provide any evidence you supply to that c.c. company but if that c.c. company decides in favour of their buyer then paypal has to comply.

That is why as a buyer i always fund my purchases via my c.c. as it gives me extra protection.

Thank you for your input , this means that any transaction on Paypal for a payment made by a buyer with his CC can be misused by the buyer if he decides not to be honest , this also raises a larger question ,WHAT IS PAYPALS  ROLL and justification for their fees other than receiving your money , which is more secured if you use your bank account or even sign with a merchant service and receive your payments on credit cards directly to your account , and the fight will become a credit card company to another credit card company , for of course less fees ?????

whay would PP put themselves in a front claiming they will defend your interest if they originally have no power over the CC company , any one of us can send his proofing documents to the credit card company and make his own fight as well , you know why , PP wants to justify more the fees they charge and poay for the guys in the resolution center who do not accomplish anything , since the computer systems automatically forward documents to the bigger theifs who took the money originally !!!!!!

It would not work for an item not received dispute if the seller provides trackable proof that shows the item was delivered to the buyer.

But buyers can file for item received but not as described and the card company may go in their favour, the reason is that the buyer may be right............you sent it in good condition but how many buyers open parcels on the doorstep??

Most buyers just sign a receipt of delivery but what if the item was genuinely damaged when the buyer opens it??

Not really the buyers fault or yours but as you are the seller the onus is often on you to take the loss.

When you sell nothing is 100% guaranteed and you have to factor in the occasional loss I'm afraid.

Thank you for your reply , but this logic with all due respect has got nothing to do with business practices , otherswise this business environment becomes kind of a jungle law , there are bsic rules put in place to protect everyones rights , example in my case , i filed an insurance claim for damages , the transport company declined it for one simple basic reason , and that is , the buyer received the item , it was not enclosed crate , but packed properly and the point where it was hit is clear to the eye visually , and does not need to unpack to be discovered and the receipeint did not notate the damage or refused to accept the delivery , this is a 100% acceptable logic ,and we are talking a car trunk lid not a small pack !!!!!!

the more logic is that he had it damaged may be during installation or for any other reason and he called the second day with his story .at the end ,factoring a loss factor of $ 700 for a small timer starter seller when he has dun everything by the book will never be fair and must be pronounced outloud , and by the way this guy did not even returned the damaged item what more you want ????

thanks any way
