I would not provide more information at all. If you didn't notice, there is no secure connection next to your browser in the left of address. It appears "<fraudulent link removed>" Someone seems to be phishing for personal information, because I got that email too. I personally clicked on it, but didn't feel comfortable filling all that request out. I'd say just let them "limit" you because you are not using your account for any fraudulent activities. I highly doubt that it will end up "limited". I had two emails from PayPal, and they both had different deadlines, so now I know someone is phishing. So all in all... DO NOT send any personal/sensitive information. (example: email password, account password, credit card info, social security number, date of birth...) Update: I filled in the form with inaccurate info and it said I was verified and ready to go ...lol

Thank you for providing assistance to isaiasvazquez! 🙂 I've removed the link you posted as it is a reported web forgery site, so good instincts there. 😄

Your situation depends on where it's asking you for that information at. Are you logged into your PayPal account securely (it will have a https next to the PayPal address)? If so, and it's asking for your personal information in there, then that would be legitimate. And if all else fails, you can certainly give us a call or send us a Tweet and we'll be more than happy to verify if it's a legitimate request.

I'm looking to bid on something on eBay. I created paypal knowing the seller only accepted through it. So I created the account and linked my bank and card to it. Then it tells me that I need to provide more information and tells me I am not allowed to add money to the account until the information is processed.
If I linked my card and bank account to it already, can I still pay for something I bid for? Or will I be unable to pay for something they confirm my information?
