This is a letter to PayPal_Lilly, if e.paypal.com is legit, then why do I get emails from another source from PayPal that told me that they (PayPal) will never send out links from PayPal.  So if that is so, then why are you sending out links that are supposed to be links to my account to PayPal????

Hi TrekkerEd -

That's an excellent question, happy to help! PayPal has many email addresses and e.paypal.com is just one of those. However, hackers being what they are, they can make their emails look pretty legitimate up to and including making it appear that the email comes from this address.

And there are the rare instances where we will send you a link, however it will only be after you've requested some type of action. As an example, you try and confirm your email address. We send an email with a link, but that's because you requested it. But we won't send a random email telling you there's a problem with your account, click here to solve it.

If you're ever in doubt over the legitimacy of an email, please forward the entire thing to spoof@paypal.com and we'll let you know exactly what's going on.
