How long does the dispute process take?

After the initial 7 days, how long does the process take if the seller does not respond?

Once escalated to a claim it normally allows a seller 10 days to respond and after that paypal review / refund within 48 hours of that time band being reached.

BUT they may allow more time if paypal ask the seller to do something ie return item etc OR if its an international transaction or extenuating circumstances.

No, I put in the dispute yesterday and it tells me that I need to wait 7 days to escale it to paypal. So when I do that, I have to wait an additional 10 days?

Yep but as I said can be up to 30 days.

But if its just an item not received dispute and not international then paypal normally give the seller 10 days and then review / refund within 48 hours after that.
