PayPal Here holds my money for 30 days

I will never ever use PayPal Here again. I keyed in a transaction for almost 4,ooo.oo because my client was in another state at the time of payment. Big mistake. PayPal will not release the funds for 30 days!!! They are holding my money and I need it to pay subs. This was NOT a sale for merchandise. I could have had the funds in 3 days if I had used Square. Big mistake and won't happen again. Thanks a lot PayPal.

There are 2 issues.

First, it's a high $ amount and PayPal needs to protect it's own business in case of a dispute.

Second, it was keyed entry so there is no proof that the buyer was present.  This increases the risk of loss for PayPal in case of a dispute.

PayPal holds funds to protect it's own interest.  You should review PayPal policies for holds.

PayPal Here is not a good option for this type of payment.  You would do better with a merchant account directly with a processor such as First Data where they do a full credit review before offering an account.  You could then avoid the hold and also have lower transaction fees.

PayPal now closing my account after I jumped every hoop they asked me too so now looking to see of I can charge them the interest on my money that they are refusing to pay out for at least 4weeks
