Ticket scammed

I was trying to buy tickets from someone on facebook for Liam Gallagher at Nottingham Arena, £90 for two. I was pretty desperate to get some as they sold out pretty quickly on all the well-known ticket sites, so I wasn't really thinking straight. Dude seemed trust worthy enough so I paid him. Afterwards he blocked me and ran with the cash. Any advice on how I could get my money back?

How did you pay him ??

If you used the send money feature and selected the "friends and family" option - your money is gone.  There's no way to show it was a purchase, the transaction look you simply sent money to someone.

You see, I didn't know that. I'm fairly new to PayPal so I used the 'friends and family' feature. I'm not going to cry a river about it but it's just a little frustrating that there are scumbags like this around that think it's okay to abuse people's enjoyment.

you should send 'goods and services',you should also understand how person to person buy/sell work and how Paypal buyer protection works.

if you have used a credit card, then file item not received with them

file a chargeback with your cc issuer,on your monthly statement there should be instructions on how to do so.

you just tell them you did not receive any ticket.
