Does P A Y P A L own the company V E N M O in NY NY? (Spaces because not allowed to type the company names?)

I have never heard of this company until I have noticed unauthorized charges on my card.

Did Paypal give them my card information to make these fraudulent charges?

I have contacted the fraud dept and will be refunded. My bank is also sending me a new card.

I'm sorry to hear that you've seen an unrecognized charge on your credit card activity. Venmo and PayPal are two separate companies, and customer data is not shared between them.

I was able to find a help article on the Venmo site to assist with your problem, but it sounds like you've already contacted their fraud department, which is great! I'm glad to hear that a refund is heading your way.

Typing PayPal and Venmo is allowed in the forum. It looks like there was a non-standard character in your post when you first submitted it, which was changed when you resubmitted the post. That would be what kept the post from going through the first time.
