I have tried using both numbers given (0800 3587911 and 00353 143 69004) from my current lcoation in Australia to no avail. I do not have a fixed landline number (only mobile) and both numbers appear to be inaccessible from a mobile. Can someone please advise of the correct number to use? I have sent a message which has, as yet, not been replied to.
In addition to the above, why do PayPal operate a country by country account system when they are a global organisation? I have to contact the UK every time I make a complaint or have an issue with something. i cannot change my address to represent my new country of residence but am forced to either use the UK account or close my UK account and open a new one in Australia - neither of which I want to do because both would penalise me in some form or other: No continued credit history with regard to Australian account and/or loss of credit history from UK account, withewr way both customers and PayPal would see no previous good history on my account - VERY UNFAIR! Surely in this modern era of technology there is good cause to allow customers to access their respective accounts from anywhere in the world or is there some nefarious reason for PayPal to exist in this format which penalises customers? Either way, **bleep** inconvenient to their customers!

Paypal is country specific so if you move country you have to open another paypal account in that country and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.
They are not a bank and have to abide by different rules per country, hence why it is country specific.
Tel number is 0800 3587911. (you would have to add the country number etc ).
Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
There is no reason why you can't have a UK and an Aussie paypal account.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thank you ShiraYuki but again, I have tried the two numbers given. I do not have a landline number and cannot call either number from a mobile here in Australia.
ShiraYuki, for the purpose of my post I want to be able to contact ANY PayPal office that SHOULD be able to deal with a complaint regarding an item bought here in Australia from an Australian company. Regardless of banking rules and regulations globally, PayPal should be bable to access my account here in Australia without fuss. They just claim not to have the facility to do so. I'll wager if there wasd a discrepancy on my account regarding over payment they would very quickly access my account from anywhere in the world and demand monies back immediately.
But again, all this is besides the point. PayPal is a global company and should not revert customers back to the original account for items purchased from the country they now reside. It is a simple process and needs only someone to take the time to look at the purchase in particular and then deal with the complaint. If I purchased some shoes from a store in Manila whilst living in Manila I would not be asked to return to the UK to take matters up with the Manili subsiduary in the UK and neither should I be expected to contact Ford Motor Company in the US if my car here in Australia breaks down.
In ANY circumstance, PAYPAL should offer customers facilities to enable contact anywhere in the world and by any means where telephony is concerned but if you notice - THEY DON'T! Like Ebay, they make things as difficult as possible because they don't want to deal with people complaining.

Just a matter of courtesy, if someone gives up the time to help you a thank you would be nice.
You also ASKED which was the correct number and i told you, you then replied back to say ''already tried it'' well so what? You asked to confirm the right one and i confirmed it.
And even if you had used both numbers i also gave you an ALTERNATE and EASIER way to contact them if you bothered to read my post correctly.
Oh and of course i don't work for paypal, this is a ''user to user help forum'', and I am an ebay seller that helps out on here.
You asked several questions and i answered all of them the best that i could.
So as i said your welcome.

How dare you?
You accuse me of not reading your response and yet where, WHERE did I say anywhere, in ANY post, I was asking which number was correct? NOWHERE! That's where! You cannot even be bothered to read my posts properly and yet tender advice on behalf of PayPal? Well seeing as you have made it abundantly clear you are employed in some capacity as an advisor to PayPal perhaps you would do your customers the courtesy of reading their requests properly! Or maybe, just maybe, keep a civil tongue!
I NEVER ASKED wqhich was the correct number as I had already stated, QUITE CLEARLY, in my original post and all subsequent posts that I had tried these numbers. I do not use Twitter or Facebook for reasons of which I don't have to explain and I also stated, AGAIN QUITE CLEARLY, that I had also messaged PayPal of my complaints.

maybe here would be where >>>>>
.'' Can someone please advise of the correct number to use? I have sent a message which has, as yet, not been replied to.''
You cannot even be bothered to read my posts properly and yet tender advice on behalf of PayPal?
As already stated above i did read your post properly, maybe you did not
And yet again you have it wrong, where do i say that i advise on behalf of paypal?
I do not advise on behalf of paypal and again IF you read my posts correctly i state that this is a user to user forum, and i have nothing to do with paypal.
Not doing very well so far are you.
''I NEVER ASKED wqhich was the correct number as I had already stated, QUITE CLEARLY, i''
Except again quite clearly you did. >>>> just in case you missed it again >>>
''Can someone please advise of the correct number to use?''
As for not using Twitter or Facebook thats up to you, all i did was to give you other options that i knew worked BETTER than emailing paypal.....up to you if you use them or not.
