Address went from confirmed to unconfirmed?

Couple days ago I was buying some things on eBay and everything was going fine. Today I checked the transaction details and my adress is unconfirmed on the two most recent things I've bought. I went thru my archive and everything else I've bought has a confirmed adress and I haven't changed anything in the past year. Anyone have any ideas? One of the items has shipped anyway, but I'm worried about the other.

Sounds quirky to say the least.  Suggest contacting customer support as they are only people who can look at your account and assist.  Having a confirmed address means that your shipping address and billing address are the same.  Sellers can still ship to an unconfirmed address.  From the sellers perspective, it should not matter as it's not unusual to ship to a different address.  If the seller does requires a confirmed address, then the order or purchase would be rejected.

Well both items shipped just fine with the uncorfirmed address. If this causes any issues I'll just get in contact with the seller or ring up PayPal to get the issue fixed. Thanks for the help. 🙂

I too have recently had this problem after my address had already been confirmed. Two people that I've dealt with on listia couldn't print shipping labels and had to call PayPal to print them for them. My concern is that some sellers on ebay won't ship to "unconfirmed" addresses. I asked someone for advice and they responded with this:

{I have been on PayPal for years, but recently moved and had to reconfirm my address. They requested that I upload a current bill or something similar with my address on it. Maybe you should call them and address the issue with a live person (although you will find they are not in the US)

I'll call and give it a try when I feel like being put on hold for 10-15 minutes and maybe this will help others. I noticed that in the forum archives there were complaints starting in 2010. Come on! That is a ridiculous amount of time for a glitch to be unresolved, PayPal!

One question: Does an address need to be re-verified if you simply remove periods? I removed the periods because USPS is highly allergic to them, but this was AFTER I started seeing "unconfirmed address" on invoices.
