Transaction ID in confirmation email

Hi,
I'm running around in circles here for hours, even called customer service only to say they would get back to me in 48 hours. It used to be the case that when a customer made a purchase on our website we would get a confirmation email and included in that email was name of customer etc, along with the transaction ID. Now, we get all of our usual information in confirmation emails but there is no transaction id included. I've looked everywhere in the settings...the transaction id is here in paypal where it shows the history of transactions...how get I get that included in my confirmation emails?
Any help is very appreciated...about to pull my hair out here. Thank you
