Verifying account and getting 100% profile completion.

Hello everyone. As the title says, I'm trying to complete my paypal profile to be able to sign up for an online job.

The last step is to link a card on my account, however, I do not have a credit card.

Upon going to "Bank and cards" section, it appears that I can link my Debit to my account.

I entered my Debit information into the form and saved it.

This is what I have now.

So, I have 2 questions:

1. The account type is now labeled as "Checking" - Does this mean paypal is verifying the account I've submitted? If so, how long would it actually take?

2. Will linking a bank account get my profile completion to 100%? Because the profile completion says "Link a card" for the final step as what it shows me(Picture below) and I'm not certain if it will be completed if a Bank account is linked instead.

Usually traditional banking accounts that come with a debit card are checking accounts.  Surely, while you have a debit card, you can also link the bank account connected to your debit or check card w/Visa or Master Charge logo on it, using your bank account number and routing number found on your paper checks.

Answer to 2:

There are are five items to do in order for your profile to be at 100%: 

Create account

Add and confirm bank acct

Confirm email address

Link a credit or debit/check card

Confirm a mobile phone number

The mobile bit is the latest step but is optional and does not hamper your account in any way as not everyone has a mobile number which will keep your profile to 80% complete if you did everything else.  You should be ok to sign up for your online job as no one can see or know this profile percentage but you/PayPal and for your own reference. Your PayPal account after adding and confirming a debit/credit card, and a bank account, is marked as Verified as you have provided a little bit more info to secure your account and lifts your spending and withdrawing limits on your PayPal account.
