Hello, I am creating my first PayPal Account and hope someone can answer my question. I have already linked my credit / debit card to my account. This draws funds directly from my bank account. Do I still have to link my bank account to use PayPal? If so, what is the reason. Seems like a case of wearing a belt and suspenders to me, but not sure. Thank you in advance for your time. At some point or other ppal ask u to link your bank acc
When u link your bank acc u will be able to withdraw funds from your ppal acc to your confirmed linked bank acc

I don't have a bank account that is why I have a prepay card but it keeps asking me to link my bank account it won't let me activate my PayPal debit card until I link a bank account
Is there any particular reason you can't open up a bank account? You could even open an online checking account to use strictly for the purposes of attaching to accounts like PayPal, Skrill, etc.

I wasn't allowed to create a PP account W/O linking a bank account, and since my bank isnt on their list of recognized banking institutions, I was shut out!! They now have ALL of my info, and I got nothing!!
How can people in the middle of nowhere Africa use this service, but because PP isnt familiar with my U.S. FDIC insured bank; I can't create an account???
