tap and pay

how to set up or activate the tap and pay feature in the moble app ?   I noticed the option to set it up but didnt.   now that Im ready to set it up the option is not there now.   any ideas how to get the option back or do I have to uninstall the app and reinstall to get it back ?  I know I can use other apps that do this but I really trust PayPal with my money.

When you activate the tap and pay feature in the PayPal app, we create a virtual Discover account that lives on your phone and is unique to you. We use NFC (Near Field Communication) or “contactless” payments technology to securely connect your PayPal account with the store’s payment terminal when you tap your phone to it.
 
To pay in stores, simply hold your phone to payment terminal – just like you would with a tap and go credit or debit card. It’s that easy!

I tried to setup the feature, it got stuck on Setting up NFC. 

Now i've gone back in to try again and the feature has dissapeared. 😞

I didn't try to set up and the next day I was looking to get it set up and it disappeared. Must be a bug in the app.

I was about to go nuts lol. I typed in this question on Google and couldn't find anything. I just happened to see this thread four days later lol. I thought I was missing something. I tried to set up tap and pay and it got stuck, then it disappeared. I hope they fix it

What device do you use for tap 'n pay?  I never knew there was an option in the PayPal Here app.

I have the bluetooth chip card reader which is supposed to to accept tap 'n pay automatically at time of sale although I never had a customer present such a card.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 6.  when the new update for Paypal from google play store was available I daownladed it but never logged into the app until last week sometime.  when I finallt loged into the app there was a option for tap and pay just like (android pay and Samsung Pay) instead of swipping the card.

not yelling just tring to get some help info why as it not there anymore.   at first login of the app the option was there and I looked at it but didnt set it up and now going back to the app to find this option has disappeard.

so do I uninstall the app to get the tap and pay option or is just gone ?

I thought you meant tap and pay when selling and the buyer pays with a tap and pay credit card.

Yoo mean to make purchases at a retail establish using PayPal funds and your smartphone device.  The topic has come up before, so you might find some information from forum searches.

sorry no, I thoght when I answered myself in post 2 here I put enough Info.  ive looked through the forums and not found anythis in referance to Tap and Pay.  only in the Help it mentions this feature and the forums are not user or tag friendly.  this is only my opinion though on that.
