How to change bank account type to savings?

This new UI is giving me a hard time figuring out how to change bank account type. I wanted to add a bank account but when I click save it always gives me back to checking account not savings. Can anyone teach me how to change this? When I added, there is no selection whatsoever what bank account type it is.

In the new UI, to add bank, instead of setting selecting a bank name, you select to enter the routing and account number manually where you will see two grey boxes at the top labeled Checking and Savings. Select savings.

I still don't see two grey boxes. There is no dropdown for bank name. No box for savings or checking account type. Before that, I can't select a bank whatsoever. It redirects me here right away.

Hi @chinfernandez, I'm experiencing the same problem. Have you found the solution to this or were you able to edit your bank account type? When I linked my account I also didn't see the option to choose whether it's a Savings or Checking account. I tried removing the bank account details and re-linked it but still got the same result, my account type was automatically set as Checking.

@chinfernandez Hi, thanks for your reply! 🙂 I sent PayPal a message and they said the way to solve this is to call their Customer Support. I'm still trying to figure out how I can call their number since I don't live in the US but I hope this'll help you too.

I'm from outside the U.S. and I just sent PayPal a message over at the Message Center to request the switch from Checking to Savings.
At first, I received an automated message, something that was already available in the Help section.
So, I told them about it and hoped a person would respond. And they did.
A CSR told me it was switched and when I looked, everything was fine.
Ask via Message Center. Hope that helps.
