Is there a way for my wife and I to link the same credit card to our different PayPal accounts?

This is frustrating.  My wife and I are both authorized users and each have our own individual credit cards but it is one account and, thus, the same credit card number.  Therefore it appears only one of us can link the card to one of our PayPal accounts.  After my wife linked her card to her PayPal account, I went to link mine and got the message "We're sorry, this card can't be linked to additional PayPal accounts.  Please link a different card."

This is a bummer.  Yeah, I can link another card but this is a rewards card and we both use PayPal a lot so I'd much prefer that we are both able to rack up rewards when we use PayPal. 

Any solution to this problem?  Thanks!

link another card,or just use one account to buy.
