PayPal Reports- do any list the actual item bought or sold?

Hopefully I am just overlooking this and someone can tell me that I am an idiot (you can use the word, it will be okay, I will be thrilled to have the solution).

I buy and sell items on ebay, all through paypal for payment.

I did not realize that ebay can only go back 90 days on items sold.

But paypal seems to only show the amount and who you sold it to etc...but I can't find any report that shows the field of title of the item bought or sold.

If I sell and item for $50, it does me much more good if I don't know what item it was.

But if I knew what item it was, I could then compare the price I sold it to the price I purchased it at.

Does anyone know any report on either paypal or ebay that will show everything I sold in 2017 in a single report and actually tell me what it is I sold, not just for how much and to whom?

Thanks

Try exporting or downloading your PayPal Account Transaction history, here's how:

* Login to your account.
* Click "Activity"
* Under "Simple" "Detailed"
* Click on "Statements"
* Click on "Activity export"
* Select "Custom Date Range"
* Select your "From" and "To" Dates
* Under File Types for Download - Select "Comma Delimited - All Activity"
* Click "Download History"

What this process does is export your history to a CSV file, you can then use an app like Excel to sort, view, create and print your own reports.

Thanks, I appreciate the answer.

This does produce a nice report, but none of it actually gives the title of the item purchased.

It will show on the report who purchased, type of purchase, but nothing that states, "Bose Clock Radio".

Too bad.

ebay is the only place you can get the content of the payment.

In the future,do yourself a favor and get a spiral book for 29 cents in supermarket and keep a sales ledger by date,venue,item description,sale,cost of good sold,shipping charged,shipping paid ,insurance,sales tax ,destination ifforeign country.

LOL, no worries, I am keeping meticulous records now.

I just did not do enough research ahead of time to realize the tax implications. I never imagine early in the year I would end up with anything more than a few hobby exchanges so I did not start keeping records until too late in the year and ebay only goes back 90 days.

I won't repeat the mistake. I was just hoping there was some mechanism on ebay or paypal to get that information after the fact.

Thanks for replies, it is helpful to at least know it is not possible, as I won't expend any more energy chasing that.
