My sis in law sent me a payment via text. I clicked on the link and it said how much she was sending and to login to accept it. I logged in and it said the money from her is now in my account. But it isn't. I believe my email is confirmed, when I got into my settings it doesn't say it isn't and I've been using Paypal to purchase things all year. This is the first payment I've recieved though.
Would appreciate help with figuring this out. Thanks

Check you account Activity section - there should be a record of the transaction there - look for the "status" of the transaction - it may be "pending" whereas it's under review - PayPal can place holds on funds for up to 21 days. Hopefully that's not the case but, it is something to be aware of. Also, if your account is unverified, that can cause delays with sending, receiving and withdraws.

There is nothing except the payments I've made in the activity section. How can I tell if my account is verified? If there is a 21 day hold will they let me know?

Confused. You stated that you logged into your account and it stated that your money was there.
Then you state that you checked your account and there is no trasaction.
Both statements cannot be true.
I suggest that the first one was part of a scam to get your PayPal login infomation. Did you log in directly from the text message? Did that REALLY take you to your PayPal account or a fake site.
Text messages can be fake.
