Paypal Won't Let Me Close My Account

Whenever I hit the Close My Account button in settings it says:

Before you close your account

Sorry, there's a problem. If you keep seeing this, please contact customer service.

Nothing else. If anyone could help me with this, it would be a huge help.

When you aren't able to close your account it is generally due to a pending transaction on your account with one of your linked funding sources. Try to remove all funding sources linked to your account and attempt to close the account again.

Another cause for this could be a linked PayPal card on the account needing to be handled first, such as needing to call PayPal Credit Customer service <removed> to see if that is preventing the account from being closed.

If that doesn't help, call PayPal CS @ <removed>

Can't call. I'm deaf. No option to send an email (even though in your feedback you ask if I'm going to contact you via email). I want to close my account! Give me an email address I can contact!

Deafness does not come with rudeness so add a 'please' and i can tell you how to close your account and how to access at least 5 ways to contact paypal.

I also have been trying to close my account to no avail, I contacted Customer Service, and they said just activate a secnd account and dont have people deposit money into your current account, that they dont close accounts.

This is how PayPal works. They take total control of the account, and for at least one week every time you use it, they won't let you access or close it. You are virtually locked out of your own account, with your own money! This company is a total ripoff. Stay safe... close your account NOW! When they tell you that you can't, insist. When I did, they finally magically found a way to close it. How about that!?!?!?!   NEVER do business with this company. I wouldn't trust them around the next cornder.
