Placed Card Number Instead of Account Number

Hi, I've recently made a withdrawal from Paypal (Nov. 14, 2017) to my bank account (BDO) but it so happened that I mistakenly placed my Card Number instead of my Account number on the bank details! Smiley Sad

My bank has a 12-digit account number and 16-digit card number. I'm assuming that the money will bounce back but I'm starting to get paranoid.

Will the money bounce back to my Paypal account? If so, how many days does it usually take for the money to bounce back?

Thank you to any kind soul who has an idea on this! Smiley Sad

I too have the same problem. But the problem is paypal is asking for a card number and not an account number. According to the bank it is easier if we place the account number instead of the card number. If we use the card number they still need to call us and verify if we expect some money coming. I don't know if this is beause I am registered to paypal for business. I wonder if someone knows hoe to change inputting card number to account number because when I tried to it directs me back to the page and says that I have given the wrong info and that I should inpt the card number. I think it will go to our account the difference though is the process of bank calling to confirm and the time.

Hello there! I was able to resolve my issue by calling Paypal! If you are from the Philippines, the correct method is to put the account number and not the card number.

It is very depressing and frustrating at the same time to not have any answer so I hope this method will help you!

I called and reached out to this number: +Go to https://www.paypal.com/help and click "Call Us" ( Toll Free & used Skype )

If you are using Skype, just ignore the recorded message when it says to input the phone number you are using so that it can direct you to the available options on your call.

It will direct you to an agent if you tell the recorded message " I want to speak to an agent ".

Well, here is the long part. You'll probably have to wait for an agent to pickup and listen to a pre-recorded message on the phone. But, it is better to wait than to have no answer at all! It took me around 7 minutes to finally speak with an agent ( assuming you are on queue ) and 50 minutes to get redirected to Paypal US since there was no available Paypal specialist in my area + 3 minutes to get your problem resolved. It was really satisfying to have an answer from them.

My money bounced back the next day. Just be sure to ask the person you are talking to the necessary questions you need to know like, "do you know when the money will bounce back? " just so your mind is put to ease.

Hope this helps!
