I am having a problem removing/deleting an old debit card. I keep getting an error message "We are not able to process your request. Please try again later." I have tried several different days and the same thing happens. There is no problem with my current debit card or bank account. I do not have any preapproved continuing payments being taken from this debit card but it won't let me delete it. I want to delete it because at one time it was my preferred backup payment, but I have moved to another state and added my new card as my backup payment. It won't use my new address as my billing address (because my old debit card had my old address). Although I did change my shipping address to my new address. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
TIA

Here's what we do know:
Here's some info on how to remove a card and why you may not be able to.
Here's how to remove a credit or debit card:
* Log in to your PayPal account.
* Click Wallet at the top of the page.
* Click the card you want to remove.
* Click Remove card.
A few things to keep in mind:
* You cannot remove a card if you have a pending transaction or if your card was the backup payment method for a recent instant bank payment. Wait a few days and try again.
* You may not be able to remove your card if you have a negative balance in your PayPal account. In this situation, you must bring your balance to zero or higher to remove your card.
* If you remove your only card and have a confirmed bank account, you’ll no longer be able to make instant bank payments. Instead they’ll be sent as eChecks, which take 3 to 4 working days to process.
* You may not be able to remove your card if you have a negative balance in your PayPal account. In this situation, you must bring your balance to zero or higher to remove your card.
You may have to contact customer support for assistance but, before you go forward with doing that, try deleting your web browser's cookies, temp files, history and cache, then close your web browser, reopen and retry what you were doing. Another option is to try a different web browser. If you still have the same issue, then contact customer support to see what they can do from their end. You can contact them by clicking on the Help link, on the next page, click on Contact Customer Support, from there you can phone.

Thanks for the information, but I double checked everything and nothing applies. I did close out of Chrome (my normal internet forum) and logged in under Internet Explorer and tried it with the same results. My old card expires (removed by moderator) so I guess I'll keep listed until it expires.
Thanks again for the response.
