Hi all,
I'm having an issue. I recently connected my bank account to my paypal account to transfer money over. However, when I did this, Paypal changed the preffered method of payment from my credit card to my savings account (with $0 in it). I didn't know this would happen, but it did. I was then charged an expected fee for my renewal of my spotify premium membership. However, because I had no money in my savings, I was charged an overdraft fee. Long story short, I contacted my bank and got the fee waived. Because it was an overdraft, the spotify payment was refunded. This was a few days ago. However, just yesterday I was charged again for the same fee (because it had been refunded) which caused another overdraft.
I need help on what to do. I was able to get the newest overdraft fee waived, but I would like to stop this charge from being retried again. I would like to either pay it off by transferring money from my checkings over, or have the charge redirected to my credit card.
Thanks

Here's a little info concerning how the funding process works.
PayPal will first check your PayPal balance to see if there is enough money to cover the payment.
If you have enough money in your balance, PayPal will use it to make the payment.
If you have some money in your PayPal balance but not enough, PayPal will use that balance plus another payment method linked to your account.
If you don’t have any money in your PayPal balance, PayPal use another payment method linked to your account.
When you don’t have a PayPal balance or don’t have enough in your PayPal balance, PayPal will use your bank account as the default payment method unless you select a different way to pay.
To make sure you’re using the payment method you want, check the Review Your Payment page.
Additional Notes:
You will be able to select a preferred funding method for payments made through the regular checkout process as well as Goods and Services via Send Money. You will also have the option to select a different preferred method for online purchases vs. in-store purchases.
If you have PayPal Smart Connect, PayPal Plus MasterCard, PayPal Extras MasterCard, PayPal Debit MasterCard, or eBay MasterCard, you can make that your default payment method. Once a payment has been sent to another PayPal account, the funding source cannot be changed.
Also be aware, linking a Savings account is accepted however, most banks put limits on the number of withdraws a month you can make. A regular checking account works best.
Last thought, if you setup a billing agreement with Spotify, you may want to check your account details. Sometimes people unknowingly agree to billing agreements or recurring payments when they make an initial purchase.
Here's how to check:
Login to your account.
Click the Settings (gear) icon near the top of the page.
Under the "Payment" section.
Select "Manage Pre-approved Payments".
Select the merchant whose agreement you want to cancel and click "Cancel".
Click Cancel Profile to confirm your request.
* Cancelling a subscription cancels all future scheduled payments of that subscription.
* A subscription can be cancelled up until the day of the next scheduled payment.
