so you are US residents living in Honduras now and have both Honduran and US bank accounts linked to your Honduran Paypal account?
The Honduran bank account is in US $$.
here is what could happen,your Paypal account is a Honduran account and your local currency is Honduran money/
any money coming in would be converted t o Honduran money and Paypal will use a real time exhcange rate plus 3% conversion fee UNLESS you go to your profile and state you would welcome US dollar and want to keep them as US dollar in your Paypal account,then Paypal will maintain 2 balances for you,one in US $ AND ONE IS Honduran currency.
This works if some one is sending you US dollars .not sure if it works if you are transferring from your US bank account?
My guess is that it would not work,it would be converted to Honduran money and sit in your Paypal account.
lets say it works,and now you want to transfer that US dollars from paypal account to your Honduran US $ BANK ACCOUNT,Paypal does not know if your bank account is a US $ ACCOUNT,it would convert your US $ to honduran money and then send to your bank,YOUR BANK see Honduran money coming into a US $ ACCount,what would it do,would it reject it or convert it back to US dollar?

In USA,it is the ACH manned by Fed Reserve ,it deals in US dollars,so I would think Honduran central bank would also deal in Honduran currency,not a mix of different foreign currencies.
so how does Paypal send your fund to your Honduran bank?Paypal is not a bank,so it probably has an account with a Honduran bank and it is that bank which clears,and what currency is that Paypal account in that HOnduran bank,it has to be Honduran currency.
so we dont know enough,why dont you try $1 and see what happens and come back and tell us how it goes ?
