i HAVE RECENTLY MOVE TO tENERIFE. i AM KEEPING ONE OF MY uk BANK ACCOUNTS WHICH i WILL CONTINUE TO USE WITH pAYPA. i HAVE SPOKEN TO THOSE EVER SO NICE pAYPAL PEOPLE IN iRELAND WHO SAID THAT IS ok. (iAM BLIND AND FIND CHANGES DIFFICULT)

i CAN NOT REGISTER MY NEW ADDRESS HERE. tHER COMPUTER DOESN'T LIKE MY POSTCODE.

Paypal is country specific so if you move country you have to open another paypal account in that country and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.

Why did yjey say I could keep mu uk account? I don't want to use my account here. Besides everything is in Spanish which I can't understand?

Sorry no idea why they would tell you that, maybe they thought you were just going on holiday and wanted to buy things to be sent to your home address in the UK?

But you can't add an international address to a UK paypal account.

Also some of the ''agents'' I use the term loosely at paypal customer services are not always the brightest stars in the sky

She did laugh when I asked why all the Google entries came up in Spanish when I am English!!

Right so do I shut down my UK Paypal then reopen over here?

Another thing about keeping my UK account was it was my private one ad could but little presies without asking hubby for money. As we have a joint account here he can pay for those pressies!

If everything comes up in Spanish and no reason why it won't I may well have to close it altogether.

If you are going to return to the UK at some stage then you can keep your UK account open and just open another where you are now.

But you will need a new email address etc etc.

It should not be too hard to find your way around the Spanish one as google translation is pretty good and once you know where everything is, it should not be too hard.

Thanks. I will keep my UK bank account but as I have no intention of returning will close paypal there.

I can't change my email address - need it for my work and too many people know it!

I will gather myself together and open a new one here.

My husband will need to do the same.

My paypal got hacked while my computer was on the high seas to the tune of almost £300. Paypal have been brilliant and refunded it all.

But it is hot and the sun shines on!! Makes everything better

If you are definately going to close your UK paypal account then once closed you ''may''  be able to use it on your new one.

The option to close your paypal account is lower left of your paypal summary page.

DO NOT forget to remove your bank accounts and cards before you do so.
