Hi, I have two debit cards with a little money left on them. I want to buy a really cheap item....and with both cards combined, I have enough to get it. My question is with both cards linked to my paypal, can I use them together to buy this item?

Hi Lexlux -

Thanks for reaching out to us here. Sorry, but what you are wanting to do here would not be possible through the PayPal system. One would be able to send funds that are in their PayPal balance and a card, or from one card for a payment. Would you be able to add your bank account associated with one of the debit cards to your PayPal account? If so, you would be able to add those funds. Once they had cleared into your PayPal account, you could then use that money and the other debit card to complete the purchase.

You can't pay with a service like Mint with 2 cards at the time of purchase but even though your using two cards to pay for something like paypal credit bill [and it probably showing as two payments], you could complete a transaction with 2 cards on the final payment end. At least Mint does the math so I know if I take funds from x and y to pay z that I'm not over paying. Paying like that to me feels like it reduces transfer times and as long as I ear mark the funds in each account and the payment goes through everybody's happy.
