BEWARE OF THE WESTERN UNION SCAM.

I was selling a few dresses on Gumtree, when this 'BUYER' messaged me telling me she was interested in purchasing one of my dresses. The total of the items came upto £84 and she mentioned that she was disabled and she will tell one of her 'fellow agents' to come and collect it from me. Right after this, she tells me that her agent is in China and she will be sending me over £300  in money which I would then need to transfer back 270 or so to western union. I was in confusion and told her I wasnt interested in selling those items any longer to her and either way my intentions of the ad were clearly selling for collection in my area. After telling her I wanted to call it quits, she messages one after the other saying shes already sent the money through and so on and so forth. Believe me, the things that she was saying were mind boggling me and almost made you believe the things she was saying.  She sent me a fake paypal email saying the money was still pending to go through to me. This buyer was telling me to pay upfront money to her in order to make it go through. In other words, she was completely fooling me and my instincts of it being a scam were right where I found many articles online talking about this western union scam. Please be aware of this person. I must say, I fell into the **bleep** hard, this woman or whoever it is was, was trying to gain sympathy over me and I fell for her 'disability act'. Disgusting people like this need to get spotted and reported as soon as.

**bleep**, It will take some time for this headache to go.

Stay cautious guys.

Let me know if any of you guys have experienced something similar.

The golden rules to remember are  >>

Paypal NEVER tell you to send trackable, they advise it for seller protection etc but it is not compulsory.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service eg western union or moneygram.
