My eBay account automatically logs into my Paypal account, something I did not explicity set up. I can't 'unlink' the accounts from within eBay as according to my account details on eBay I don't have a linked PayPal account. eBaydoesn't appear in the list of pre-authorised payees in Paypal. But if I buy anything on eBay it has my Paypal details. I couldn't ascertain a working solution on eBay, so trying here as last-ditch attempt before just deleting the eBay account. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hi disaffected,
Welcome to the community forum,
It sounds like you have the Stay Signed In feature turned on. This is a tick box we give you when using the eBay checkout but if it is something you would rather not use you can turn it off.
Here's how to turn if off via the PayPal app:
- Log in to your PayPal account via the app.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Log in and Security.
- Turn off 'Stay Logged in for faster purchases'.
Here's how to turn it off via the PayPal website:
- Log into your PayPal account.
- Click the 'Settings' icon at the top of the page.
- Click Security.
- Beside 'Stay logged in for faster purchases', click Edit.
- Click Log Out Everywhere.
I hope this helps.

Thank you.
Under 'Stay logged in for faster purchases' it said 'auto log in is turned off for all devices'. But immediately underneath that setting is 'Permissions you've given' which revealed that I had given two permissions to eBay (without my current knowledge of that fact), 1) to make payments and 2) to use my transaction data. So I have now been able to remove these and you have solved my problem.

I had this same problem and could not find the section they were talking about, but I did find it, it is the bottom choice "Log in with Paypal" edit that, you will see the choices you gave permission to and you can delete them.
I did mine by mistake, every time I check out they ask to link my account to ebay, I don't want that, and I hit accept by mistake. I just wish they would have a choice that states "Don't ask Again" so it would stop popping up.
