How to view 5 year old transactions in Paypal?

Hi 

the classic view has disappeared where I could go back years to find old transactions but in the new paypal site, it is only going back 2 years..

how do I view older payments specially when you have to prove to someone about a service you bought with them?

Go to "activity" top of your paypal page > on the right of the page under "simple / detailed" click on statements > activity export > then on the left of that page under history click on advanced > then in the drop down box under "find a transaction" you can search by email / name / date etc etc etc OR you can click on advanced instead of basic and go back year by year.

My history only starts from 12/04/2015. Tried ..

I'm then taken to a page offering Activity Download, no.....then on the left of that page under history click on advanced > then in the drop down box under "find a transaction" you can search by email / name / date etc etc etc OR you can click on advanced instead of basic and go back year by year.

It does offer a date range but like the main "activities" page I cannot go back any further than 12/04/2015 no matter what I set the end date for.
