Not receiving emails to confirm my gumtree email address

Hi, I have sold something on gumtree, and the buyer has made a paypal payment to my temporary gumtree email address. I've never used gumtree and paypal together before but apparently this is the norm.

So gumtree have told me that to collect the money, I need to register my gumtree email address with my paypal account. i'm in the process of doing that, but I'm stuck because I never receive the confirmation email in my inbox. At first I thought it could be in my junk folder or perhaps is being blocked altogether but I don't think this is the case.

So without being able to confirm the email address is mine, I can't collect the buyer's payment.

It’s true the email address needs to be confirmed on PayPal in order to receive the payment.

If you are not receiving the email and you have checked, as you say spam filters etc. then call PayPal directly and request the email address be confirmed

Once it’s been done, the funds will credit into your PayPal account balance as long as the buyer has not cancelled the payment on their end yet.
