Unauthorized charges from PayPal *Emoney3 35314369001 LUXLU

Hi.

Two unauthorized payments appeared on my bank statement from PayPal *Emoney3 35314369001 LUXLU.

7.74€ and 1.50€ about 25 minutes between.

Bank contacted, card closed. PayPal contacted but it's ridiculous as transaction not appearing in my payPal activity they likely to ignore this issue.

Card is not linked with PayPal account directly but through eBay app.

Question is how is it possible for frauds to charge?

Looks like only safe way is to stop using eBay and payPay?!

Scandalous.

Unlikely someone would choose to defraud you for such a low amount so read this to check.....

If you bought something online with a debit or credit card and did NOT log into your paypal account then of course it won't show on your paypal account as you bought as a 'guest buyer'.

However your seller may have processed that payment using their Paypal 'card reader' and so Paypal would show on your bank or card statement.

Hi.

Paying for something without logging in is a very wrong thing to do. How is this possible with "safe" payPal. So what exactly fraud needs to make this work, surely not my email. As I see it there must be ebay involved to allow some fraud buying deal to be processed and then it charges through PayPal. So it is not safe to use any of this services.

You didn't read or understand what I posted.

If you bought something online with your debit or credit card then YOU would not be using paypal.

But your seller may process YOUR card payment via her card machine which may have been issued by paypal.

So you have NO idea how she processed your CARD payment until you see Paypal on your bank statement.

Hmmm means in that case paypal not checking that it was legit deal. It must be on bank. As far I understand that frauds must have then stolen full bank card details.

I give up, you are not understanding what i am talking about.

Paying as a guest buyer is NOT a fraud.

It is not when person who card belongs to does transaction. I'm certain that I didn't make or confirm in any way that transactions.

If I understand correctly that some not very honest can charge my bank account through PayPal if he has my bank card full details.

I know my eBay app stores card detail and when I make purchases that it appears with identicall number (just legit merchant name instead of Emoney3) on my bank statements.
