I have just received a payment from Ebay but in Paypal it states I'm not eligible for seller protection. I am new to all this and don't understand why as the address is shown to be confirmed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, jdb

Sometimes it depends on what you are selling.
You really need to go to the site map and click on the seller protection requirements, you need to know these if you are selling regularly.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hey there,
The address status doesn't really effect whether an item is covered for seller protection or not. In the pass it had to be confirmed on order to be covered for seller protection, however this is no longer the case.
There are a number of things that can cause a payment to show as not eligible. The category the item is advertised in on eBay can affect it as some items aren’t covered, for example vehicles and services.
Also if the payment was marked as a service or a personal payment there would be no seller protection.
