Hi
can anyone find a potential problem with me going ahead with this please? I have read some blogs but none are quite the same and Paypal is not involved and once cheque is cleared we have been paid for item.
Item costing £380 advertised on Friday ad. Got email re potential purchase. They asked if they sent shipping money we pay shipper when he collects. A cheque in an enveope marked LA Poste France, has arrived for £2750 from royal Mail Group Ltd. I am expected to pay it in and when cleared a shipper will be sent who I have to pay. He says the shipper is also picking up & delivering other goods to make shipping costs viable.
Problems I am concernced about is handing over such a large sum in cash £2370. I could get a signature and take a photo would that do to prove I did! This is an extremely high cost for shipping even for a full lorry load so suspect it may not be correct thus wondering how, if it is, a scam.
thanks
