Stolen Pay Pal money order recovered....

Hi. I have used Pay Pal for quite a few years now & I think it's great! On 8/16/10 I requested a money order from my PayPal account. I never recieved it in the mail & now I have just recovered it from my girlfriend's son's ex-girlfriends old wallet. Is there any chance that my money can be put back into my PayPal account? I know the money order is void after 180 days, but does that mean that my money is gone forever? I have the whole money order in hand as it was sent to me.

Should I seek legal help through the law enforcement on this matter? She has stolen many times before from family & friends & needs to be stopped. She has even abandoned her own children & moved in with a married man & his wife across the street from or new home. What should I do?

For clarification, are you talking about a check withdrawal? I just want to make sure we're on the same page. 🙂

When a check withdrawal is initiated, after a significant period elapses, a trace can be initiated to find the funds. If you give Customer Solutions a call or email, they can get that set up for you.

Bear in mind, a lot of time has passed since then. If you reported the check missing back then, the matter may have already been rectified. You can set the dates back on your PayPal History page to the relevant time frame (August 1, 2010 to September 30, 2010 should do the trick) and look through the transactions to see if that clarifies anything for you.

If you opt to call for assistance, talking to a CS representative on the phone will allow the questions and answers to be asked to quickly get to the bottom of the matter. To contact Customer Solutions, log into your PayPal account and click Contact Us. Then select either Email or Call.
