I am horrified by Paypal. I accidentally choose to transfer money FROM my bank account instead of TO my bank account. $400 was removed from my Wells Fargo giving me an overdrafted balance and fees of $-430.
Following this I call customer support and this is what I find out?
Tranfers that are PENDING can be cancelled only. Well that's all and fine except for the fact that it takes you only hours to unpend and TAKE money from my bank account while its taking 3-5 days to send money back to my bank account to cover the accidental charge. How does this happen? I was given the smallest window of opportunity to cancel a HARMFUL transaction and now I must endure up to 5 days just to put money back in to balance the situation?
PAYPAL you make FAR too much money to bind people like this. Once my final auctions end this week I see no other alternative but to cancel further services with paypal. There are a lot of traps with your company.... many ways the sluggishness of pending charges on Bill Pay and bank transfers can come back to bite a person yet you seem very comfortable operating this way. I should have a LOT more power over the account and my money than you bestow.
Im done seeing overdraft fees bc of Paypal and their "pending' charges.
