Complete Processing of My Credit Application...

Just got a letter  saying that I need to call (800)480-0186 to Complete my Credit Application as they require additional information from me.

Is this a valid letter from PayPal?  Never received anything online requesting such information.  I just opened my account.

It's from:

Fraud Prevention Department

GE Money Bank

PO Box 981404

El Paso, TX 7998-1404

See if the Phone Number (800)480-0186 is valid and if the request is valid.  Thanks.

I just got the same letter for a Texaco card, from GE Money Bank.  Is this legit?

Hi everyone!

This sounds like a letter that GE Moneybank sends out when it is manually verifying an application.  If you applied for PayPal Smart Connect or the PayPal Extras MasterCard, those are administered by GE.

This is a legitimate notice although usually means your credit was stolen or hacked into.
