My account has become unverified?????

I have been a member for years. Today, I went into my account, and noticed that it was listed as unverified. How can that happen? It is asking for account information(banking) that hasn't changed in years, so is this for real, or am I recipient of a scam?

Log into your PayPal account. Make sure you're at https://www.paypal.com . notice the s atthe end of the http, that let's you know you're on PayPal AND you're on a SECURED web site.

If the information is the same there, then yes, you've become unverified.

You may be asking......."How can I become Unverified AFTER I was verified?"

I'll list just a few examples to give you the idea.

1. You haven't used your PayPal account in at least 6 months.

2. Maybe while they were updating their records dicovered that the bank you have listed doesn't exist anymore, but it's still listed in your account.

3. You haven't logged into your account in at least 6 months.

But your problem is simple. Just log into yourPayPal account and it'll tell you what you need to do to re-Verify your account.

Hello everyone!

The status of "Verified" depends on meeting and maintaining one of two things:

1)  Having a confirmed bank account on file; or,

2) Having a PayPal Smart Connect, Extras Mastercard, or eBay MasterCard on file (that you were originally instantly approved for)

If you remove either of these items, you will become Unverified.

Logging into your account won't affect Verification status.
