Hello, recently I purchased and funded my unverified account with a MoneyPak card. After spending my funds, I was notified I had reached a limit of my unverified account. I do not have a bank account, therefore cannot verify my account, but was hoping to fund my account using MoneyPak cards. Is this possible?

Hello Knifin,
Thanks for stopping by!
If you don't have a bank account--you can also verify your PayPal account by applying and getting approved for either PayPal Smart Connect, Bill Me Later, or PayPal Extra Mastercard.
Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for answering my question, although it did not help me too much. If I could ask another question, how does PayPal expect a customer buying the MoneyPak card to add and spend funds "Without needing a bank account or credit card" if the customer cannot verify their account unless they do have a bank account or credit card? It does not help to suggest alternatives that I did not plan on using in the first place--I expected to be able to use MoneyPak cards in place of a bank account or credit card. I thank you for your time, however.

Hello Knifin,
I'm glad you stopped back for clarification!
With the MoneyPak--you initially have a limit of $250.00 a year. To increase this limit, you would need to provide your date of birth, name, address, and Social Security number for verification. This is actually information that Green Dot will collect and verify.
Once you have gone through this process--then you will be able to add up to $2000.00 a month to PayPal using a MoneyPak.
Now, if you exceed the $2000.00--that's when you would need to add a bank account. So, if you are under the $2000.00 a month limit---you would be good to go!
I hope this clarifies things better!
Have a good one!

Thank you so much! I was under the impression that the amount I had spent was the limit, seeing as I was told I would need to verify my account. For future reference, where can I supply my date of birth, name, address, and social security number for Green Dot? Thank you!

Hello Knifin,
Once you hit the $250.00 threshold--you will be prompted while you are going through the MoneyPak add funds process, to provide:
- Your Name
- Social Security Number
- Date of Birth
- Address
Hope this helps explain the process 🙂
