Verify giftcard

I haven't ever used paypal before and only have 1 thing i need it for. I have a prepaid amex simon giftcard and it wont verify. You could even check and you'll see that the billing address and card holder name match. So i have this card which i have no other use for not verifyed. It also got charged because i tryed to verify it as a credit card. (PayPal you should tell us "If you don't have a credit card dont try to verify this way" so we at least aren't charged with no way of getting our money back).

So could you please tell me how to verify my giftcard and get my money back.

NH44- It's not that we avoid answering questions about prepaid cards, it's that this is a Community Forum so we're hoping to give a member of the Community the time to answer you.

I am sorry to hear that your pre-paid card isn't working on our system. PayPal really isn't designed to work with those types of cards and we have issues verifying them, as you've discovered.  If you give us a call, we can more than likely get the verification charge put back on your card.

Beyond that, if the card can't be verified, then it won't be able to be used.  We have no way around that. 😞

so for example im getting this error message when trying to use this visa gift card i bought at 7-11

"

Your credit or debit card has not been added since your card issuer does not allow checking the card's billing address. Please enter a different card number. If you have further questions, please contact the business that issued your card.

"
