I made a car rental reservation through Hotwire.com I wanted to use paypal because it is a long rental and the total was over a thousand dollars...So when I went to hotwire they asked credit card or debit card so I put debit because I do not have a credit card do to poor credit another reason for using paypal..Anyway they gave me the quote and a guaranteed reservation but I have to pay first to find out from which company so I did and found out it was budget contact budget to make sure everything is OK and they tell me I will still have to pass a credit check or I wont get the car have bad credit so I know I wont get the car so I called hotwire back and they say sorry we cant help non refundable,,This is a scam and I filed a dispute with paypal but just wondering if anyone else has had this problem...I mean really would you pay for a rental car for your vacation you may or may not get and you will not get your money back......
