Why is FNB the only bank we can withdraw Paypal funds from? I don't want to be forced to open a new bank account with a bank I don't want to bank with just because of what? Non-collaboration?

No idea, if thats your only option then not a lot you can do about it really.
It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
